Verona Nobles Folsom, a lifelong resident of Fort Myers and Tampa, FL, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. She was born in Fort Myers on September 26, 1946 to Jesse Lee and Leona Mae Nobles, now deceased.
Verona was of the Pentecostal faith. She specialized in being the most precious mother to all of her 9 children. She was amazing with her sewing machine and also attended and graduated from a computer trade school.
She is survived by her loving children, Walton O. Folsom, Jr. (Kim) of Lehigh Acres, Becky Sellers (Chris) of Fort Myers, Eric Folsom (Mandy) of Lehigh Acres, Charlene Folsom of Cape Coral, FL, Katherine Phillips (Dale) of Brandon, FL, Joyce Folsom of Tampa, and Lorrie Williams (Rance) of Lakeland, FL; siblings, Elizabeth Aten (Evon) of Ruskin, FL, Linda Hodges (Joseph) of Fort Myers, FL, and Clinton Nobles (Monica) of TN; aunts, Margaret “Shirley” Lintz (Leland) of North Fort Myers, FL, and Dolly Hedrick of Fort Myers; uncle, Jimmy Rose (Becky) of North Fort Myers; numerous nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; as well as 13 great grandchildren.
Verona was preceded in death by her former husband Walton Folsom, Sr. in 2002; husband, Charles Benn in 2008; daughters, Tiffany Folsom, and Verona Evans; as well as siblings, Ronnie Drury, Billy Drury, J.L. Nobles, Jr., and Barbara Greenen.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Joseph Hodges officiating. The family will be receiving friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM till time of service. Committal services to follow at Fort Myers City Cemetery, 3195 Michigan Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
