William “Bill” Herman Nase
William Herman Nase, 90, of North Ft. Myers, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 in Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, FL. A former resident of Stratford, NJ, he was born February 18, 1930 in Sellersville, PA to Mae & Herman Nase, both deceased.
Bill graduated from Dobbins Vocational/Technical School of Philadelphia, PA as an Electronic Technician. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War and in October 1953 married the love of his life, Barbara (Bobbie) Stiles, who survives.
Bill worked in electronics for various organizations, e.g., RCA and a few small electronic agencies, and then served 29+ years working for the U.S. Federal Government, first at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard and then to NAFEC (now called The FAA Technical Center) in Pomona, NJ before retiring as a Computer Specialist in 1990.
Bill was a Volunteer Fireman and served over 25 years with the Stratford Fire Company of Stratford, NJ. He was a Mason for the last 50 years and he was also a member of the Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in N. Fort Myers, FL. He was the neighborhood repair man. There wasn’t anything made that he couldn’t rebuild or fix.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a half Brother, Richard Nase (Carol); two daughters, Deborah Ann Durham (Louis) and Donna Mae Britt (Joseph); a son, David William Nase (Eileen Marie); grandchildren, Jessica Rae Britt Schmitz (Jason), and Heather Renee Britt Johnson; as well as three great grandchildren, Brenna & Logan Schmitz, and Makayla Johnson.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Michael and Allyson Durham; as well as a grandson in law, Michael Johnson.
Due to the present situation, no formal services will be held.

Wayne & I are sorry to hear about your loss of your husband, father and grandfather. In a letter written by Bill & Bobbie about their 60th wedding anniversary party, they wrote,” This was a real treat to party with ‘live'(young and old) happy people. During the past few years we’ve been attending too many other sad gathering. Many of our friends never made it to their 60th, so we are very blessed we did and are doubly blessed to be able to have shared it with so many dear dear people.” We were more than blessed to have known the both of you and were glad that you raised such thoughtful children to have organized that party. In these current times attending a funeral to remember one’s life is not a possibility. I am glad I kept that letter and was able to see all of you at that wonderfully happy occasion. You are in our hearts and prayers during this sad time. Wayne remembers his oldest cousin very well from over the years and has fond memories of family visits. Bill is in my thoughts and he will be missed.
So sorry that we here on earth have lost a wonderful man, husband, father, and grandparent, but I bet the angels are VERY excited.
He showed me sincere compassion in one particular instance, for which I have always held him in high esteem. May he now rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord .
