William “Jody” “Billy” Hughes, Jr.

August 9, 1999 - November 17, 2018

William “Jody” “Billy” Joseph Hughes, Jr., 19, a resident of Fort Myers, FL and Lehigh Acres, FL for the past eight years, formerly of Cecil County, MD and Delaware County, PA, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Alva, FL. He was born August 9, 1999 in Chester, PA.

William was a loving father, son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and significant other. Everyone who met him, instantly loved the person he was. He was such a fun, goofy, loving person. Being only 19 years old, William had so much wisdom. Growing up he loved the outdoors and continued to love it for the rest of his life. William loved to fish, hunt, camp, and to be outdoors in general. William was always a hardworking man who always tried his hardest to reach his goals. Along with reaching his goals he also tried to better himself. William truly had a heart of gold. He loved like no other and gave like no other. He gave up his own happiness for others and lost his life protecting others. He was selfless. If you ever needed help, even if he was not financially stable or going through things of his own, he was always there to help you, guide you, or just be there for you. One thing some people didn’t know about him was he had a creative side. He loved to write, draw, and decorate things. He lost in touch with his creative side every once and a while but always found peace and closure in doing anything creative. William also had a huge heart for animals. Dogs and reptiles is where he connected the most with. William may have not accomplished many things in his life but he never stopped trying. He never stopped fighting. He was always to accomplish whatever it was he sat his mindset to. But there are things he did accomplish. He was the life of the party. As soon as he walked in through the door, you knew it was going to be “rowdy”. Right now he would love for everyone to be happy and to enjoy this time together. An to crack open a cold one, and just sit around an reminisce all the good memories everyone has had with William. All together William was an amazing man who put an imprint on everyone’s life that he met.

“Jody was a lot of fun never a dull moment always had you thinking or laughing or mad as hell but works things out or walks away unless provoked,he doesn’t drag them out he handled his business he was a great guy and I am very proud of my son for the man he was turning into.” ~Heather, William’s loving mother
