Joseph Roland Parker

January 15, 1964 - March 30, 2024

Joseph Roland Parker, 60, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, for the past several weeks, formerly of Key West, FL, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born January 15, 1964, in Ft. Devens, MA.

Joey was a warm, loving person whose wit, humor, and infectious laugh would light up any space he was in. His friends and family will remember him as someone with a knack for making life beautiful and would give a listening ear to those who needed someone to hear and know them. Joey was passionate about animals and wildlife and loved the nature and scenery of Key West. He was an excellent mixologist and well-known to locals and visitors alike. He will also be remembered for the love and happiness he shared with his husband Greg Gerwin. They will both be dearly missed and always loved.

He is survived by his brother, Steven Parker of Canton, GA, as well as niece, Jane Parker Steill (Matthew) of Mesa, AZ.

Joseph was preceded in death by father, Jimmy Parker; husband, Greg Gerwin in 2024; as well as brother, Scott Parker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.

    Joey did light up the room when he walked in. We shared many great times together and I just adored him. I will miss him dearly. Fly high my friend.

    Well my little brother,I have been trying to get in touch with you for quite some time now.All I wanted to do is just say that I miss you and I love you,but I know you knew that.We will see each other again some day.Now I really will be missing you, but nothing can take away the memories of you.I will always love you.See ya.
