Mark Anthony Wrightsman

Mark Anthony Wrightsman, 56, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 26 years, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 22, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born December 17, 1967 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of Pamela Starkey and the late Frank D. Wrightsman.

Mark enjoyed watching football and could be found most Saturdays during football season watching the Alabama game. Sundays were reserved for the Steelers, his favorite team since childhood. He often streamed high school football games for the Fort Hill Sentinels.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cheryl Wrightsman; three children, Nikki Wrightsman & fiancé, Jack Maness of Cape Coral, Brittany Abrantes & husband, Henrique of Marlborough, MA, and Heather Kaptain & fiancé, Jeremy Giglia of Cape Coral; two step sons, Scott and Michael Kaptain; sister, Shelly Goodfellow & husband, Michael of Cape Coral; brother, Kevin Wrightsman of Cumberland, MD; half brother, Nathan Cook of Cumberland, MD; nephew, Zevan; six grandchildren, Landon, Bryson, Juliana, Jayden, Skylei, and Brady; uncle, Craig Dyche & wife, Tracy of Cumberland, MD; great aunt, Joan Grey of Cumberland, MD; two very close friends, Todd McDaniel and Brad Hildreth; a special cousin, April Pryor; many extended family members; and Shalimar, the family dog.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Frank D. Wrightsman; maternal grandparents, James Dyche and Gilda Wilfong; special uncle, “Bobby” Goss; a nephew, Clifford “Shawn” Goodfellow; as well as his four-legged best friend, Bella.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced by the family.
