Rodney Wayne Flint

January 5, 1956 - March 14, 2024

Rodney Wayne Flint, a lifelong resident of Fort Myers, FL, lost his courageous  battle of cancer  at the young age of 68 on  Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Fort Myers. He was born January 5, 1956 to the late James and Minnie Flint. 

Rodney was of the Baptist faith and was a hard worker; having worked in construction nearly his whole life and being well known for his amazing skill as a box blade operator.  When he wasn’t working, he was always outdoors either fishing with the kids, working on his boat, or showing off his race cars in the Lehigh parade. 

Surviving is his beloved wife, Sherri Smith of Fort Myers; two loving children: Phillip

“Tyler” Flint (Nicole Lee Markle)and Bobby Wayne Flint (Theresa Marie Goedde), both of Lehigh Acres; two grandkids: Aubrey Renee Flint and Eizabelle Kapri Flint; four brothers: Billy Flint, Lamar Flint, Marvin Flint, and Jim Flint. 

Rodney was preceded in death by two siblings: brother, Raymond and sister, Gloria. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 14711 Orange River Road Fort Myers, FL 33905.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fort Myers, is entrusted with final care.

    Rodney, I love and miss you so much, and always will. Please watch over us, as you are our Angel now. I will miss the country songs you used to sing to me as we were dancing. We had many many great times that will never be forgotten.. love you forever😪

    Rodney. You will be missed but just know you are with family now and yaĺl are having a big family reunion up there with my granny papa and Dennis Donald ( duck).and every one else to many to mention. God bless your family. Rest in peace.

    You will be forever loved by so many. You had a heart of gold and made everyone always feel welcome.. I promise to take care of your son Tyler and be there for him unconditionally.. I will keep him motivated every day. But a little more on his tougher days. He will continue to accomplish life goals and make you proud. Thank you for coming into my life. We will love and miss you forever.
