Sandra “Sandy” K M Liebman

Sandra K M Liebman, 59, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Newbury, MA, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Cape Coral. She was born February 12, 1960 in West Hartford, CT and was raised in Farmington, CT by her parents Casimir and Florence Janeczko, now deceased.

Sandy grew up in the Catholic faith and enjoyed many spirited discussions with her mom and uncle priest until their passing. She graduated from Farmington High School and Franklin Pierce College. She worked in banking, and after having her sons Jared and Andrew, worked at a veterinarian clinic and town hall. In 2016 she moved to Florida where she continued her passion for animals at another veterinary clinic in Cape Coral.

She truly had a special place in her heart for all animals but her Belgian Tervuren dogs were her favorite. From championship breeding and obedience training to showing and agility, she did and loved it all. When Sandy wasn’t occupied with her dogs, you would find her in the garden or making stained glass windows and pieces of artwork for her friends and family. Her green thumb was always in the earth as she designed and planted her carefully chosen plants around her home and homes of others throughout the years.

Her sons, Jared and Andrew, meant the world to her. She empowered them to grow up living life to the fullest. She shared a special relationship with both sons and with the help of their father, Steven Liebman, the boys they raised grew into the fine gentlemen they are today. They proudly and successfully honored her last wishes, which were to be able to spend her final days at her home in Cape Coral, FL. With around the clock care from her sons and a fabulous team of nurses, she was able to spend time with friends and family who visited her during her last few months.

Sandy was a fighter and was able to accomplish whatever she put her mind to. She fought pancreatic cancer for sixteen months and never surrendered from the day of diagnosis to her very last breath. She passed away peacefully with both sons’ hands in hers and her dogs by her side.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jared Liebman of Fort Myers, FL, and Andrew Liebman of Billerica, MA; as well as her brother, Ron Janeczko and his wife Tanya of Farmington, CT, a niece Laura Janeczko of New York NY, a nephew Ted Janeczko of Boston MA, and several cousins and their families that she enjoyed spending time with.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held by family and friends at Sandy’s home at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
