Sharon M Bradle

September 16, 1948 - April 6, 2017

Sharon Marie Bradle (Backe) died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Fort Myers, FL, at the age of 68.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Carrie Culligan-Nelson (Kenny), and her sons, Daryl Culligan and Bradly Witt (Carrie).

Sharon was born on September 16, 1948 in Ashland, WI to Charles and Gertrude Backe and preceded in death by her brother, Robert Backe. She graduated from Depadua High School in 1966, received her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and for many years ran a loving adult foster care home for people with development disabilities.

Sharon was a loving home health care provider. She dedicated her life in taking care of those unable of doing for themselves. She was an active resident in her local neighborhood. Often hosting cards with friends. She spent the last year and half living in Cape Coral, FL.

But her passion came from the kitchen. Her children will always remember her cooking, whether it be sour cream cookies, rubber pancakes, or her most memorable dish, cabbage rolls. Her recipes are nothing short of Oscar-worthy.

Her final resting place will be back home in Ashland, WI. Summer memorial service to follow.

Sharon leaves behind her foster patient, Kenny Temby, and a very special honorary granddaughter, Brianna Katon.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Special Olympics of Wisconsin in memory of Sharon Bradle.

The family would like to thank everyone at Gulf Coast Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care, especially the neurology ICU team.
