I am very saddened by the loss of a very good friend. I do miss him but I will always remember our fishing trips and playing golf. I know he is in a better place now and no longer suffers.

I called him “Santa Claude”although I didn’t come up with the nickname! It fit his gentle, generous spirt so well! He made me smile like he did everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace

Pop Pop, you are so missed. I wish we had been able to visit you in person, but COVID really screwed up everything. I will always remember our fishing trip where you cursed the manatee no-wake zone and the Christmas you gave me cow-spotted car seat covers for my first car. I am so sorry your last few years were so hard. I hope you and Mom are both rejoicing with the Lord now. I used to love it when I would call and you’d call me ‘baby girl.’ I was never quite sure if you knew it was me or if you thought you were talking to my mom, Brandy. Love and miss you.

I really enjoyed the short time I knew you. You were such a nice man. I particularly enjoyed our trips to the grocery store. You told me many stories about hiding your radio from your mother at night so you could listen to the big bands and singing with Ann and your male groups. Rest in peace, Claude.

He made killer martinis for me, I.E dirty martinis. He is the step father of my dearest and long time friend, Bunny. Bunny visited her mother and her stepfather Claude who lived on Pine Island and I went with her every time she visited. I loved Ann, Claude’s wife and Bunny’s mother. I valued their friendship so much. I’ll never forget him.
