Diamond Garlin

June 11, 2004 - July 23, 2022

Diamond Garlin, 18, a lifetime resident of SW Florida, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Fort Myers. She was born June 11, 2004 in Naples, FL.

Diamond was of the Christian faith. She was quiet as she was gentle. Diamond was a butterfly, always going with the flow, with an imagination out of this world. Due to her sickle cell, her second home was Golisano children’s hospital of Fort Myers where the Doctors and Staff became family as well. If you knew Diamond, you would say it took a while to get to truly know her but once you did you would love her and know it was a blessing to have her in your life. Diamond will be truly missed leaving behind a path of love and imagination with her she will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her foster mother, Johnnie Johnson (Joseph Spikes) – Foster Siblings – Tameka Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Lorenzo Turner, Jessica Nash, Jack Nash, Kahi Brewington, Jonelle Spikes of Fort Myers;

Biological Siblings; Angelica Shaffers, Elizabeth Shaffers, siblings, Kali Garlin (Fabian Jackson) of St. Cloud, FL, Nateria Garlin of Fort Myers, Brittany Garlin (Ryan Courtney) of Cape Coral, Brianna Garlin (Renard Jelks) Bradenton FL, Nasja Garlin of Fort Myers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Diamond was preceded in death by her mom, June Garlin and grandparents, George and Barbara Benjamin.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:30 pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Matt officiating.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fort Myers, is entrusted with final care.
